Sundays at Deep Water Baptist Church
Our Sunday services are informal and relaxed. There is no fixed pattern and the services vary but usually they include the following:
Contemporary worship – we sing songs to praise God and thank him for his goodness and faithfulness. The word “worship” means “to come close”. In our worship to God we are seeking to draw closer to Him.
Informal teaching – during our service we explore the bible together in a relaxed and informal way. We aim to make this appropriate to everyone whether you’ve been reading the bible for years or have never picked up a bible and are just curious. Our relaxed style means it’s ok to interrupt and ask questions or make a comment or share something that you feel God is saying.
Prayer ministry – after the service there are people who are happy to pray with you. Whether you would like prayer for healing, a job interview, a family situation, or for no particular reason, we are here for you. We believe our God can change situations and we have witnessed this many times so we are confident that He can change yours too.
Communion – we share communion once a month. This is conducted in the usual Baptist manner where the bread and wine are distributed to the congregation. There is no obligation but all who wish to take part in communion are very welcome.
